We are excited to advertise a 12 month fixed term maternity cover in the Microbiology laboratory at Southampton General Hospital.
The role would be working core hours, Monday-Friday 09:00-17:30.
We are looking for a specialist BMS with extensive knowledge in all aspects of Bacteriology.
The laboratory provides a full clinical diagnostic service including parasitology, mycology, an extensive AST section, and provides TB testing for several hospitals.

• IBMS Specialist diploma in Medical Microbiology required or equivalent experience in a clinical diagnostic lab
• Extensive post-registration experience
• Support the day to day running of the section and a point for enquiries from junior staff
• Strong training experience of staff a wide range of grades
• Strong understanding of Quality Control testing
• Demonstrates inclusivity and accommodates and supports colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds
