As a Specialist Category Management, you will deliver best in class commercial outcomes for South32 external spend. You’ll develop meaningful partnerships and collaborations with key supply partners that deliver ongoing improvement and innovations whilst enabling sustainable and socially responsible procurement outcomes.

Reporting to the Manager Supply of Major Projects and Category Management, other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Contributing positively to a safe, high performance, values led culture
• Using intimate knowledge of the market and our operations to support the development of category strategies and sourcing plans that strategically match our needs to the market
• Negotiating contracts that deliver to South32’s business framework and governance, optimising cost, risk and surety of supply
• Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with suppliers to ensure optimum delivery quality and sustained performance
