MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - please refer to the attached job description and person specification

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To work on the Haematology Oncology Day Unit (HODU) &
  Mobile Cancer Care Units (MCCU) supporting patients, and
  their carers, who are receiving chemotherapy and supportive

treatments for haematology/oncology conditions

• The post is an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team which

contributes to the effective and economic use of available

resources.

• Responsibilities include involvement in the day-to-day

management and co-ordination of HODU.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a high standard of nursing care for ill patients in
  accordance with Airedale Hospital Trust’s guidelines and

protocols.

• Contribute towards the development of clinical practice by

participating in practice, and self- development programs on
the unit
