In this role, you will apply your extensive knowledge and surgical expertise to diagnose, treat, and manage a broad spectrum of diseases affecting the colon, rectum, and anus. You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering outstanding patient outcomes and advancing colorectal health. Key Responsibilities: Perform detailed clinical assessments, including patient histories and physical examinations focused on colorectal health. Order and interpret diagnostic procedures such as colonoscopy and imaging studies. Develop personalized treatment plans that may involve surgical and non-surgical interventions. Perform advanced surgical procedures utilizing both open and minimally invasive techniques. Oversee pre-operative and post-operative patient care to optimize recovery and manage complications. Educate and support patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain meticulous documentation and uphold strict compliance with healthcare standards and regulations. Engage in continuous professional development to maintain expertise in colorectal surgery advancements. Adhere to ethical standards, patient confidentiality, and safety protocols at all times. Medical degree (MD or equivalent) and current medical license. Completion of residency training in General Surgery followed by specialized fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery. Proven clinical experience and proficiency in colorectal surgical procedures. Strong knowledge of colorectal disease diagnosis and management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team engagement. Ability to work cooperatively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Highly organized with attention to detail in clinical documentation and patient management. Commitment to ongoing professional education and adherence to best practices.
