KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Communications Planning & Development
- Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement a strategic communications plan and calendar aligned with the goals, timelines, and key milestones of the TWU Expansion Project
- Develop tailored communications that address the needs of diverse stakeholder groups, including ACTS consortium members, ACTS and TEDS employees and students, TWU areas, and partners
- Collaborate with project and change management teams to support project communication components, including workshops, listening sessions, informational forums, and updates.
- Monitor feedback and analytics to assess message effectiveness and identify improvement areas
- Leverage feedback and data to inform communication strategies and identify communication gaps and opportunities for potential improvements in both strategy and activation
- Ensure brand and messaging alignment with respective institutional brand standards to contribute to narrative consistency across various internal and external audiences and touchpoints
Stakeholder Communications
- Develop and manage a master project communications calendar to ensure timely delivery of key messages aligned with project phases and milestones, key decision points and relevant updates
- Draft, edit, and distribute various kinds of engaging communications across formats and channels, including email, newsletters, websites, FAQs, slide decks, and print pieces
- Support effective change management by developing change-related messaging regarding project developments, policy changes, systems integration, and other operational changes
- Collaborate with Advancement to support communication needs for donors and alumni
- Support departments impacted by the project to equip them with the necessary resources to ensure consistent communications (i.e., talking points, messaging toolkits, and FAQs)
- Develop public-facing messaging such as press releases, news developments, and launch announcements to keep external audiences updated about TWU’s School of Theological Studies
Project Coordination
- Maintain proactive and consistent communication with fellow Marketing & Communications and project team members to ensure they are informed of the project’s status and required actions
- Collaborate with team members to distribute project-related communications pieces across a breadth of institutional channels and platforms (i.e., intranet, website, social media)
- Ensure successful project and task execution and timeline management through critical paths
- Manage projects and tasks within team project management platforms (i.e., MS Planner, Wrike)
STANDARDS & REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, English or related field (or diploma with equivalent experience)
Experience:
- Minimum 2—3 years of experience in strategic communications, ideally in higher education
- Experience with CRM linked email marketing platforms (i.e., Marketing Cloud, Mailchimp)
- Experience with Salesforce and adjacent apps (e.g., Marketing Cloud, Enrollment Rx) is an asset
- Experience with project management and marketing automation platforms is an asset
