APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FROM UK NURSING AND MIDWIFERY COUNCIL, NMC, REGISTRANTS WITH A POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA QUALIFICATION AS A SPECIALIST COMMUNITY PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE, (SCPHN), SCHOOL NURSE, ONLY.
The opportunity has arisen to join the Renfrewshire School Nursing Team as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse, (SCPHN), School Nurse, Band 6 working 37 hours per week. The SCPHN, School Nursing qualification is a pre-requisite to applying for this post.
As fully described within the Job Description, the post holder will work as part of the School Nursing Service to support the continued implementation of the School Nursing Public Health Pathways for Renfrewshire’s school-aged children and young people.
It is essential you bring experience and in-depth knowledge of the health needs of the school aged population to ensure service provision is effective, efficient, culturally sensitive and evidenced based to reduce health inequalities and promote health and wellbeing for children and young people within school and the community.
The post holder will work in partnership with service users, local authorities and other key partners to deliver quality, evidenced based and person-centred care in line with GIRFEC and UNCRC principles. You will fulfil child protection and safe guarding responsibilities in line with current Child Protection Guidance and local policy.
You will be an experienced SCPHN qualified School Nurse registered with the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council therefore educated to degree level. You will bring experience of working with children, young people and their families or those who care for them.
Shift pattern : Monday – Thursday08.30 – 16.30 Friday 08.30 – 16.00
