Description
This position is responsible for supporting operational and strategic decision making by providing our senior leadership team with detailed financial analyses and insights into the drivers of key financial metrics. Key responsibilities include the reporting and analysis of total company financial information including the annual profit plan and monthly forecasts and actuals. Additionally, you will collaborate with various departments to ensure budgets, forecasts and other financial models are aligned with Company goals and external guidance. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively are essential for success in this role. Manage the monthly financial reporting process in order to provide high quality, timely, and flawlessly accurate information to the Chairman and CEO, CFO, VP and Controller, COOs and other senior leaders. Prepare and validate monthly reports for completeness and accuracy while meeting or exceeding all stated deadlines. Establish and maintain collaborative and highly effective working partnerships with the Electrical and Industrial Sector Finance teams in order to ensure that business results (including comparisons between actuals, forecast, Profit Plan and/or prior year) and associated issues are understood and can be effectively communicated to Senior Management during monthly Actuals and Forecast meetings. This communication ensures that Senior Management has a detailed analysis and understanding of financial state of the Company and can measure progress against the profit plan, previous forecasts, and the prior year. Prepare presentations to be used by the VP and Controller and/or CFO in meetings with the Board of Directors (BOD) and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). In months without such meetings prepare a presentation to be provided to the BOD and ELT to provide them with a financial update on the status of the company and its progress against the profit plan, previous forecasts, and the prior year. Prepare high quality and flawlessly accurate analyses that support and facilitate external filings and earnings releases (e.g., quarterly earnings presentations/webcasts, 10-K and 10-Q disclosures, etc.) while meeting or exceeding all stated deadlines. Prepare and/or review urgent and ad-hoc analyses to support the CFO and other senior finance leaders as needed in a very short turnaround time. Support the Reporting & Analysis Department in achievement of goals via participation in special projects, training, or data issues as assigned. Minimum of a Bachelors degree from an accredited institution required. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates currently located within a 50 mile radius of Beachwood, OH will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Professional experience in financial consulting within a large public accounting or financial services firm, or in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for a large manufacturing organization or similarly complex, global business environment. Position Criteria: Proven proficiency with advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and enterprise-level financial systems (e.g., Oracle). Ability to synthesize complex global data and provide clear, concise, and strategic recommendations to senior management. Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work with all levels, functions, and personalities within the organization, including Executive Management and Sector Finance. Excellent analytical skills to determine “root-cause” issues and to develop and recommend best possible resolution. Able to prioritize multiple requests and / or issues and multi-task to resolve the issues while meeting all stated deadlines within very short turnaround time conditions. Manage workload with a sense of urgency, personal ownership, very high standards of customer support, and a constant focus on system data integrity, and flawless product quality.
