POSITION PURPOSE: The Customs & Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring our company’s import and export activities comply with U.S. customs regulations and international trade laws. This role will be responsible for auditing import entries, reporting entry errors, and providing narratives for the Broker to file corrections with US Customs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Customs Compliance: Auditing imports to ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), included but not limited to Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification, customs valuation, and country of origin against shipping documentation Report findings Prepare necessary forms for corrections Prepare weekly reports EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Associate’s degree, Business or relevant work experience. EXPERIENCE: 2+ years of experience with auditing, preferably import/exports Attention to Detail, auditing experience Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
