Specialist Dietitian

To act as a specialist dietitian in your area of expertise and provide a comprehensive andeffective dietetic service to the trust. To provide a quality Nutrition and Dietetic Service in Northumbria Healthcare NHS Trust toinclude diverse inpatient and outpatient specialties. The post will cover a specific specialty working in one area eg Critical Care, Stroke,Gastroenterology, Surgery, General Medicine, Diabetes, Respiratory, COPD, ONS, Oncology,Bariatrics, Community Oral Nutrition Support, Home Enteral Feeding, Adult weightmanagement and Orthopaedics etc across sites and / or to have a site specialty role. There may be a requirement for input to community hospitals and Care Homes as part of the trust and your specialty remit.
There may be a requirement to undertake home visits as part of your specialty. There may be a requirement to participate in weight management groups in the community as part of your specialty. To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries
