SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative and effective creative solutions.
  • Strong visual design approach and style without sacrificing usability and information flow.
  • Proficient at basic website development within common web management platforms (i.e., Drupal, Unbounce).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative software (i.e., Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
  • Emerging understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design implementation.
  • Basic understanding of web-based digital marketing tactics (i.e., on-page SEO, content marketing).
  • Basic understanding of Google Analytics (GA4) set-up, monitoring and performance management.
  • Ability to execute within established process and framework but able to adapt as needed.
  • Problem solver with an ability to synthesize information quickly and deploy effective solutions.
  • Calm demeanour with a bias for action and taking the initiative to ensure results.

STANDARDS & REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Communications, or Creative Production

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-3 years in a creative or web-based digital development role (i.e., graphic design, web design)
  • Agency, consulting, or project management experience is an asset.
  • Experience in post-secondary higher education is an asset.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Salesforce apps (e.g., Marketing Cloud, Enrollment Rx) is an asset.

The Digital Platforms Specialist advances the mission and vision by faithfully sharing the story of Trinity Western and inviting people to participate in the life of the University, leveraging creative and technical skills to create positive and engaging user experiences across web-based digital platforms.
