Specialist Doctor/GP in Ambulatory Care (Emergency Medicine) - Exciting Opportunity
Are you an enthusiastic and skilled GP/Specialist Doctor looking for a rewarding opportunity to deliver exceptional clinical care in a dynamic, evolving Emergency Department? Then this is your chance to join our SDEC Ambulatory Care (Emergency Department) team at Warrington Hospital, a busy District General Hospital providing pragmatic, high-quality care to a diverse Northwest population.

KEY DETAILS:

Position: Specialist Doctor/GP in Ambulatory Care (Emergency Medicine)
Hours: Full-time (we are flexible and would consider part-time applications)
Requirements: Applicants must be on the GMC Register, have a Primary Medical Degree and extensive experience in the assessment of adult ambulatory patients attending with medical or surgical presentations. Desired attributes include being on the GMC GP Register, Higher Medical Qualifications or having additional qualifications in leadership or medical education.
We welcome applications from GPs that are looking to explore and develop skills in Emergency Medicine outside the General Practice environment.
As a Specialist Doctor/GP in Ambulatory Care in Emergency Medicine at Warrington, you’ll be expected to assess, diagnose, investigate and manage ambulatory ED patients attending the SDEC area.
When you’re not engaged in clinical duties, you’ll enjoy dedicated time for Supporting Professional Activities (SPA) with access to training rooms and our ED Simulation Suite. There’s also the opportunity to actively engage in teaching and mentoring for our junior medical team.
This role also offers the opportunity to oversee governance within Ambulatory Care, while designing innovative patient pathways and policies aimed at enhancing efficiency, quality and overall excellence in the Ambulatory Care service.
Our department is actively developing itself as being a hub for quality improvement and research. Join a team involved in national and international research studies and benefit from a supportive learning environment.
You’ll also play an integral role in training the next generation of healthcare professionals by delivering bespoke induction courses and regular teaching for resident clinicians. We are one of the few sites in the Northwest offering specialised sedation courses and onsite ALS, EPALS, GIC, ILS, and PILS courses.
