We’re seeking an enthusiastic Specialist Driver / Trainer at Driven, part of the Buy It Direct group, to join our delivery team. You will be instrumental in training our driver installers while out on the road, delivering white goods, appliances, and furniture to our customers. You will interact with our customers, offering outstanding service to make them feel valued and serving as our company’s trusted, friendly, and professional face.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Specialist Driver / Trainer, your primary responsibility will be to train and support all on-road staff based at the Crawley depot. You will continuously strive to improve the skills of your colleagues, ensuring they provide outstanding service to our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Train new and existing on-road staff to ensure uniformity in service delivery and adherence to company standards.
  • Collaborate with the team to load and secure products on the van, ensuring all safety protocols are followed while training in safe and economical driving.
  • Deliver products to customers’ rooms of choice, provide unwrapping services, and perform installations of appliances and furniture.
  • Ensure the van is checked, clean, and secure before and after deliveries. Handle administration tasks including electronic proof of delivery.
  • Support the management team by raising any issues regarding colleagues’ ability to complete tasks and help in the training of other team members.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety guidelines and operating procedures.
