The Swindon Early Years Centre (SEYC) supports children under 5 with SEND, providing high quality Early Years Education and Family support. This is a great opportunity to lead the development and expansion of a successful and very highly regarded service. You will be joining at an exciting time where your excellent leadership will be vital in shaping the service as we grow and ensuring the exceptionally high quality of practice is maintained.
The Swindon Early Years Centre are looking for a permanent Manager.
Potential applicants will have specialist knowledge around supporting children with additional needs and their families. The service is constantly reviewing and developing practice, therefore the desire to learn and develop is essential. The successful applicant will have experience of leading teams and supporting others to develop as reflective practitioners.
The successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher, EYPS or Registered Qualified Professional i.e. Social Worker with experience of Special Educational Needs or relevant equivalent experience.
GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
You will have excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate equally effectively with children, parents and colleagues.
You will recognise the value of a team approach to meeting challenges and have the ability to work using your own initiative, lead other practitioners as well as follow direction when needed.
Flexibility and a sense of humour are essential in an environment which can change rapidly and in which no two days are ever the same!
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
