ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Specialist Process Engineer to provide expert oversight and support for the Dampier Port Operations. This position offers the opportunity to drive continuous improvement by identifying and applying Rio Tinto’s best practices to boost efficiency and effectiveness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness and compliance, encouraging prioritisation of safety in all activities and operations
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, evaluating, and implementing improvement opportunities utilizing a range of Rio Tinto best practices
  • Collaborate closely with other functions and stakeholders in the performance of duties
  • Coach and support a team of fixed plant process engineering personnel
  • Manage fixed plant process engineering activities to maximise productivity while minimising cost and environmental impact
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including statutory obligations
