QTMP involves the design, manufacture and maintenance of 65 new six-car passenger trains to support Cross River Rail and the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games. These trains will be built at a new, purpose-built facility in Torbanlea on the Fraser Coast.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Special Equipment Engineer (Robotics and Automation) who will support the development, integration, and optimisation of robotic and automation systems at the QTMP rail facility in Torbanlea, Queensland. Key duties include enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring system reliability, upholding safety and quality standards, programming robotics, integrating PLCs, deploying vision systems, and aiding proactive maintenance management.
EXPERIENCE:
The SE Engineer will also be responsible for ensuring that all robotic and automation equipment complies with operational safety standards, working closely with the Zero Harm team. This role will report to the Robotics and Automation Manager and play a key role in ensuring automation systems deliver measurable productivity improvements in a safe and sustainable manner.
