The Mechanical Strength Analyses team is located inside the Elevator Mechanics Tribe, all together we take care of the backbone of all our elevator products. Our job is to create the solid designs and reliable mechanical structures that are needed for high-quality elevators.
The strength analysis team is taking care of all calculations requested by our stakeholders that are needed for our high-volume elevators. The team composition and the relevant stakeholders are global and English is the company language. The work is distributed and managed with online tools, and we use online calls and meetings for daily discussions and collaborations.
We are now looking for a
Specialist / Expert - Mechanics to join our team in Hyvinkää, Finland.
We work in a hybrid way, with a mix of office days in Hyvinkää and remote days. We are looking for an experienced professional to join us full- time.

Responsibilities

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform complex calculation according to stakeholders requests
  • Review calculations created by others to ensure good quality of the outcome
  • Teach other team members towards professional growth
  • Develop/improve/create calculation procedures and processes for components strength calculations
  • Lead, teach and explain to others the procedures and processes for components strength calculation
  • Ownership of the calculation backlog, review, prioritize and follow-up tasks
  • Stakeholders management, discuss and align expectations and deliverable for every task
  • Advise and lead stakeholders on how to approach complex calculation topics to optimize time and results

IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

  • Extensive experience in strength calculation
  • Experience in leading and guiding other people
  • Experience in guiding inexperienced stakeholders through the entire calculation process
  • Ideally, experience with Ansys workbench / Spaceclaim / Mathcad and Ansys scripting
  • Excellent communication skills, needed to collaborate and explain to others
  • Excellent collaboration skills, ability to explain difficult concepts in simple words
  • Excellent social skills, to adjust the technical language based on what the situation requires
  • Our working environment is multicultural so fluent English language skills is a must
