ABOUT US
The Salvation Army is a Christian movement and one of Australia’s largest and most-loved charities. We believe in doing good that transforms lives and futures for the better. It is this belief which drives us to find new ways and places where we can make a difference. From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here — providing support, safety, community, and opportunity.
Are you a passionate, skilled practitioner ready to make a real difference in the lives of women and children impacted by family violence?
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Specialist Family Violence Practitioner to join our Rapid Response Team, delivering critical support to women and their children when they need it most.
This is not just another job — it’s an opportunity to be a part of a movement dedicated to safety, dignity, and empowerment. You’ll work directly with women and children experiencing or at risk of family violence, providing immediate responses, safety planning, crisis support and referrals in both community settings and crisis accommodation.
Working from a feminist and trauma-informed perspective, you will walk alongside those in crisis, offering them hope, support, and a path forward.
Reporting to the Team Leader, this is a fixed-term full-time position contracted for 12 months, based in Windsor, VIC.
Compensation is in accordance with SCHADS Award Level 5.
