GRA Licensing

  • Liaise with external parties to facilitate the processing of the various licenses, exemption requests and to improve on the collaboration or processes in view of operational needs. To work with:
  • GRA on Special Employee Licence related or Levy Exemption related matters for submission/clarification/resolving issues/answering to GRA enquiries pertaining to licence processes/ SEL Matrix functions/ Casino Acts or feedback received from Team Members pertaining to operations.
  • Administer the application, cancellation and renewal of Special Employee Licence for Category A, B and C1 Special Employee Licences.
  • Work closely with HR Services Team on new applicants who have signed Employment Agreements; on applicants who are not joining MBS (Self Rejected, Anomaly, No Show etc); and following up of GRA application forms or withdrawal of applications from ALPS.
  • Handle all licence pass requests and issuance; includes Gaming & Non-Gaming Licence.
  • Work closely with Compensation & Benefits & HR Business Partners on Team Member movements (Transfer / Promotion / Change of common name / Change of job title and End of Employment) so as to advise on licence related matters, and to ensure that Certificate of Competencies (COC) are submitted to meet the effective date proposed.
  • Engage with internal departments to advise on the impact of the various licence required by the Team Members in their course of work. Advise /work together, but not limiting to, with:
  • Gaming departments on the impact of the Special Employee Licence pertaining to the movements/promotions of their Team Members, for example if a new set of competencies required/new category of licence needed or the documents required (ie: Org chart, SEL Matrix and Job descriptions) by GRA for assessing the category of licence for new positions created within the department. Liaising with HR Business Partners on GRA appeal successful cases and GRA rejection cases. To liaise on SEL matters with Compliance and Legal departments.
  • Non-Gaming departments on the more detailed purposes for the entry into the Casino for the application of levy exemption with GRA. The compiled levy exemption request listing which consists of requests from departments for levy exemption to enter the Casino due to ancillary duties, is to be submitted at the end of each month. Maintain by updating the Levy exemption master list upon GRA’s approval or refusal of levy exemption.
  • Develop and conduct SEL Licence Conditions Training
  • To notify GRA within the regulatory timeline which a Team Member has been deployed to a function/new function or cessation of Team Member’s function/employment from the Executive Senior Management positions

Absence Management

  • Monitors the time-off and leave for team members.
  • Stay informed about absence-related matters using alerts.
  • Handle retroactive leave of absence requests.
  • Validating time-off requests against holiday calendars, work schedules, and other parameters.

Union Membership

  • Assist with managing the payment of AREU fees of eligible TMs

Administrative Task

  • Perform any other duties as assigned
