\n What You'll Do Research, assess and acquire any type of information for the creation and maintenance of TomTom Map Databases Scan the local market for relevant data sources Perform and support quality checks Develop and maintain working relationships with existing and potential providers/partners as well as local authorities This role is to be a country sourcing and local intelligence specialist for Japan with expertise in the local language, geographical know-how, mapping regulations, local legislation knowledge and good industry connections What You'll Need University degree in geography, cartography, geomatics or geoinformatics. 2+ years of work experience in GIS or related fields. Knowledge of known and common GIS software. Language skills: Proficient in Japanese and English (both written and verbal) Strong interpersonal and communication skills that allow successful negotiations with our partners and networking. Support and understand map quality for a given country/countries. Knowledge of geographic source data handling and data licenses. Great problem-solving and analytical skills.
