Responsibilities The Medicaid Revenue Cycle Specialist plays a critical role in meeting business goals by managing claims/bills production according to payer and regulatory requirements to assure correct remittance payment at first pass. The Specialist works closely with nursing center staff to ensure accurate records are kept. *Audit the accuracy of demographic information in the Billing System to ensure clean billing and prompt payment. *Direct nursing center Business Office Manager to make any applicable updates in PCC. Independently ensure errors are corrected before batching. *Make independent decisions on the next steps needed to ensure claims are paid timely to ensure cash flow for each center. *Identify any global payer issues and bring to Central Billing Office Management's attention. *Manage all claim projects to completion that are submitted to contracted insurance carriers or the state. Qualifications *Bachelor's degree or four or more years' experience in accounting, billing, or collections in a healthcare environment.
