Responsibilities

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provision of high-level clinical services of mental health assessment and treatment options to targeted clients.
  2. Provision of support and education to clients and General Practitioner around mental health issues and service provisions
    in a timely manner.
  3. Contribute to the development of contemporary models of care within the Top End Mental Health Service and champion
    the development of improvements in the safety and quality of services delivered in the community.
  4. Contribute to research and undertake quality evaluation at program or professional network level.
  5. Maintain high standards in report writing, electronic record keeping, and file maintenance and quality assurance in
    service delivery.
  6. Follow defined service quality standards, Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures relating to the work
    being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
  7. Foster a positive workplace culture through role modelling behaviour.

  1. Applies specialist knowledge, skills, attributes, and abilities within a defined practice area in therapeutic and professional
    relationships with individuals, as well as with families, groups, and communities.
  2. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being
    undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services, and workplaces.
  3. Accountable for providing sound professional advice and for assessment, planning, review, evaluation and coordination
    of comprehensive client care and/or case management within the speciality area.
  4. Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role modelling behaviour.
