This role sits within Laurentian Bank.
The M365 application specialist is a key member of the Digital Workplace Team and is responsible for M365 services (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams etc.,)
The successful candidate will have experience and expertise in enabling new Microsoft related services while ensuring a stable and available end user environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Degree in Computer Science or a related field and 4 to 6 years of related experience or College Diploma in Computer Science or a related field and 7 to 10 years of related experience.
  • Minimum 5 years experience supporting a large scale, mission critical enterprise in a 24x7 operating environment.
  • Multiple years of experience and expertise on managing Microsoft based technologies.
  • Scripting capabilities to aid in process automation and/or AD queries.
  • Good understanding of cloud security controls and frameworks
  • Good knowledge of security-related Microsoft platforms
  • Experience in endpoint virtualization (AVD) and Microsoft Office 365 environment support is an asset.
  • SharePoint administration and development experience
  • SharePoint migration experience (on premise to cloud)
  • Experience working within Incident, Change and Problem Management processes.
  • Experience applying ITIL best practices is an asset.
  • Strong problem solver and team player who is confident and challenged in a fast-paced environment supporting a wide range of technologies.
  • Proactive and results-oriented with good time management skills, and the ability to work well under pressure and focus on multiple priorities concurrently.
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with Business Teams to better understand application requirements (SharePoint, Viva etc.,)
  • Technical Roadmap creation/maintenance
  • Project implementation for both Operational and Enterprise assignments
  • Provide level 3 support for the end user experience while adhering to service management guidelines.
  • Drive process improvement and automation to increase effectiveness and quality.
  • Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining and testing business continuity/disaster recovery plans, processes, and procedures necessary to recover services in the event of a declared disaster.
  • Participate in incident resolution while working with major incident teams.
