.Job Purpose This position exists to perform network administration, troubleshooting methodology, foundation of routing and switching tasks efficiently, in timely manner and quality standards as per the defined policies and procedures to achieve departmental operational plans and developments.Key Accountability Areas Network Management: Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network devices (e.g.: routers, switches, cores, Wi-Fi controllers, APs, Firewall, Etc.). Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information. Build the networking environment for new branches by designing system configuration, undertaking site surveys and charters, directing system installation, defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards. Monitor, maintain, and configure WAN connections (e.g.: Outdoor P2P wireless antennas, MPLS Clouds, site to site IP VPN, Internet lines). Manage routing and switching environment, defining the best paths, and avoiding the loops, load balancing the data traffic though available network lines. Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues. Acceptance of the copper and fiber optical infrastructure for new projects and documentation handed over by suppliers. Secure the network connections, data, and devices, by deploying the most authentication and encryption methods, logging, SNMPv3, NTP, etc. Business Improvement: Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry. Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, and network optimization. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications…etc. Work closely with colleagues to meet team goals and improve processes and practices. Participating in the development and introduction of advanced services for the network, which involves research and conducting tests to determine what will add value to the network community. Policies and Procedures: Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure. Reports: Report network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information, managing projects. Role Accountability HR Proficiency: Ability to obtain updated soft and technical skills related to the job. Delivery: Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules. Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time. Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks. Problem-Solving: Solve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues. Quality: Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities. Business Process Improvements: Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible. Compliance: Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions. Health, Safety, and Environment: Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
