Location: Atherleigh Park Hospital, Leigh, Greater Manchester.
Pay Rates: £20.15ph

EXPERIENCE

Essential

• Experience working with clients in an acute setting

Desirable

• Previous experience working in Adult mental Health in-patients

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

• Has maintained continuing professional development in mental health

Desirable

• Has additional qualifications which relate to the assessment and Recovery of patients with mental ill health issues

· Undertake occupational therapy assessments, addressing occupational performance and skill deficits, risks and record the rationale for therapy in the care and risk management plans.
· Plan and implement individual and/or group interventions, using selected and graded activity to develop the client’s skills in identified areas of deficit.
· Supervise staff, professionally and non-professionally aligned.
· Provide specialist reports to inform statutory bodies, MDT and onward referral agencies.
· Contribute to an environment that works with local services to provide evidence based assessment and delivery of care within the context of Effective Care Coordination, Occupational Therapy models of care and least restrictive practice.
· Support the delivery of positive behaviour support interventions in order to provide a least restrictive care environment.
