We are delighted to invite applications for Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Medical Team at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.

Our team works across three areas:

  • General Internal Medicine
  • Acute Frailty
  • Specialist Medical Services

Depending on your experience and career aspirations, you may focus within one specialty or enjoy the variety of working flexibly across all specialities. The team have a weekend working commitment and this focuses on our front door areas including ED, Acute Admissions and our short stay units. This post offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your clinical expertise in a supportive and forward-thinking environment, while contributing to safe, effective, and person-centred care.
You will play a vital role in the rapid assessment, rehabilitation, and safe discharge of patients in acute medicine. We work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team and are committed to high-quality, evidence based, patient-centred care. We are proud to be an exemplar site for early adoption of the Discharge Without Delay programme.

Alongside your clinical caseload, you will:

  • Contribute to the development of Occupational Therapy pathways within your chosen specialty.
  • Provide clinical supervision and teaching for colleagues and students.
  • Take part in service and quality improvement initiatives.

You will also benefit from:
