This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join a respected organization known for its commitment to excellence in patient care and diagnostic accuracy. As a Specialist Pathologist, you will be responsible for examining a range of biological specimens to diagnose diseases and inform treatment plans. Your expertise will directly impact the quality of care provided to patients as you work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough examinations of histopathological specimens and cytological samples. Interpret laboratory results, detailing findings and diagnostic conclusions in comprehensive pathology reports. Collaborate with medical staff to discuss diagnoses, treatment plans, and next steps for patient management. Participate in case discussions, presentations, and multidisciplinary team meetings as needed. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and contribute to the laboratory's quality control and assurance programs. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in pathology. Qualifications: MD or DO degree with a specialization in Pathology and a valid medical license. Completion of an accredited residency program in pathology. Board certification in Pathology is preferred. Substantial experience in diagnostic pathology within an accredited medical laboratory setting. In-depth knowledge of laboratory techniques, diagnostic criteria, and pathology protocols. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in reporting findings. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams.
