Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough dental examinations and accurately diagnose dental issues in children. Develop individualized treatment plans based on each child's oral health status and needs. Perform various dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, and preventive care techniques. Educate children and their families on maintaining oral health and proper hygiene habits. Implement behavior management strategies to create a comfortable dental experience. Monitor the growth and development of children's teeth and jaws and recommend orthodontic referrals as needed. Work collaboratively with other dental and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Stay updated with developments in the field of pediatric dentistry through continuing education and training. Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree. Completion of a residency in Pediatric Dentistry. Active state license to practice dentistry. Experience in a pediatric dental clinic is highly advantageous. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working effectively with children and families. Empathy and patience in addressing the unique needs of young patients. Thorough understanding of pediatric dental techniques and standards of care. Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to professional development and staying current on industry advancements.
