An exciting opportunity has arisen for a specialist pharmacy technician to join the Mental Health and Substance Use Pharmacy Service. The service is currently developing ways of working to integrate the Pharmacy teams working across Mental Health (General Adult Psychiatry/Psychiatry of Old Age), Learning Disabilities and Substance Use.
The post will have a key clinical leadership role within Pharmacy and the wider Multidisciplinary Team, developing the clinical pharmacy technician role to support individuals engaged with these services to receive support through a “No Wrong Door” approach to Pharmaceutical Care provision.
The post-holder will require good communication, negotiation and organisational skills along with the ability to establish personal credibility and influence and affect change. Self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as a team player are essential.
The pharmacy service is welcoming, progressive and focussed on the provision of high quality pharmacy services. We are committed to continuing professional development (CPD) at all levels within a supportive environment.
This role is primarily based at Murray Royal Hospital for part of the working week. There is flexibility to work from other office locations or sites across NHS Tayside depending on operational needs and candidate preferences.

The portfolio for the post-holder will be agreed upon appointment to the post in collaboration with lead pharmacists and the other specialist pharmacy technicians.
Hours of work are: 37 hours per week
