Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this post is 5 days over 7.
We are seeking a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our acute medical team in the RAH. Working closely with Occupational Therapy colleagues and the wider MDT. The acute medical team covers 6 wards within the RAH. The clinical focus is on timely patient centred assessment, rehabilitation and discharge planning, to support site flow and ensuring no patients remains in hospital longer than necessary. As a band 6, key responsibilities will be, the formal and informal support and supervision of rotational Physiotherapy staff, HCSW’s and students along with participation in personal and service development. You will be supervised by a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist along with daily support available from the Associate Chief AHP. Peer supervision is also established within the service.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about working in acute medical specialities, interested in networking across sectors and a team player with good communication skills. It is essential you have a Diploma / Degree in Physiotherapy with current registration with the HCPC and evidence of relevant post graduate courses/ CPD. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland check.
