We are looking for a physiotherapist who is wishing to take the next step in their career as part of our dynamic pelvic health physiotherapy department. This exciting role offers you the opportunity to work in a large team with an excellent reputation.
As a specialist department, this is the ideal location for you to build on your foundation skills and further develop your knowledge in specialisms from pelvic floor dysfunction to management of musculoskeletal problems in pregnancy.
Our work includes managing obstetric wards and musculoskeletal outpatients, pelvic floor dysfunction outpatient clinics, and classes including antenatal exercise and a healthy pregnancy advice group. For a candidate wishing to expand their knowledge in all areas of pelvic floor dysfunction including urology, colorectal, uro-gyaecology and sexual dysfunction patients, both male and female, this role is well suited. Specialist clinics include postnatal perineal tear clinics and direct access pathway clinics.
We offer a friendly, supportive and respectful environment where each team member strives hard to deliver first class, patient centred, and high quality care.
The applicant should have experience of working in a pelvic health physiotherapy setting at post qualification level. As a Band 7 physiotherapist you will also be responsible for the mentoring and appraisal of other members of the team.
The successful post holder may be based at any of the hospital or community sites.
Interviews for this post will take place Wednesday 17th September
The post holder will be responsible for performing advanced assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex medical, physical and psychological conditions, to develop and deliver an individualised management/treatment programme.
Following assessment the post holder will be responsible for making therapeutic and/or clinical diagnoses and treating their own caseload of specialised and complex patients/clients and maintaining associated records.
The post holder may lead a team and be responsible for providing an advanced standard of care to patients at Imperial College NHS Healthcare Trust, which covers a multi-cultural and diverse population.
The post holder will supervise the work of other more junior staff and support workers. The post holder may be rotational and will be expected to work across all sites of the ICHNT.
The post holder will assist the Clinical Lead in contributing to the planning, coordination, development and evaluation of the service. Together with other senior staff, you will act as a resource of specialist advice to the rest of the therapy service and other professions.
For therapy services where there is current weekend working, the post holder is required to work at weekends as part of their contracted hours of work once they have completed the relevant induction and achieved the required competencies (specific rota details are held locally within departments).
At Imperial College Healthcare you can achieve extraordinary things with extraordinary people, working with leading clinicians pushing boundaries in patient care.
