QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in piping stress analysis within offshore oil & gas projects.
  • Proven track record in PMC environments with ADNOC projects.
  • Proficiency in CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, and familiarity with 3D design tools (e.g., PDMS, E3D, SmartPlant).
  • Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards: ASME B31.3, B31.8, API, ISO, NORSOK, and ADNOC standards.
  • Hands-on experience in offshore modules, jackets, topsides, and subsea piping systems.
  • Excellent understanding of structural interface loads, pipe support design, and fatigue analysis.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills in multicultural and multidisciplinary project environments.
    Job Type: Contract
    Contract length: 24 months
    Pay: Up to AED45,000.00 per month

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

The Specialist – Piping Stress Analysis will be responsible for performing advanced piping stress calculations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry codes, and ADNOC standards for offshore oil & gas projects within a PMC (Project Management Consultancy) environment. The role involves providing technical expertise, reviewing engineering deliverables, and ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective piping designs for offshore facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform piping stress analysis using industry-standard software such as CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, and other relevant tools for offshore facilities.
  • Conduct flexibility analysis for piping systems, ensuring compliance with ASME B31.3 / B31.4 / B31.8, API, ISO, and ADNOC standards.
  • Review vendor documents, piping layouts, support designs, and 3D models for compliance with stress requirements.
  • Coordinate with piping layout, civil/structural, process, and mechanical teams to optimize piping routing and supports.
  • Evaluate thermal expansion, wind, seismic, vibration, and slug force effects on piping systems.
  • Prepare stress reports, design calculations, and issue recommendations for modifications or improvements.
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, and constructability sessions for offshore projects.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers, ensuring best practices in stress analysis are followed.
  • Liaise with ADNOC and client representatives to address technical queries and ensure compliance with their technical requirements.
  • Support material selection, wall thickness calculations, and flexibility studies.
  • Provide technical input during procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning stages.
