Description

The Professional Learning Analyst will be responsible for managing the logistical and administrative tasks associated with the district’s professional learning programs for educator licensure renewal in accordance with Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) guidelines. This role includes creating and maintaining an online catalog of approved courses and professional learning activities, scheduling professional learning opportunities, and tracking course completion to document teachers’ eligibility for Professional Development Points (PDPs).

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in education, business administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in administrative support, project coordination, or data management.
  • Experience in an educational or professional learning environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) guidelines or similar educator licensure and professional development standards is a plus.
  • Experience creating and maintaining online catalogs or similar resource systems is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using online platforms and systems to manage catalogs, schedules, and professional learning programs (e.g., Learning Management Systems, Professional Development Management Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Pro, Google Workspace).
  • Experience with database management and tracking systems to monitor course registrations and completions.
  • Ability to generate reports and organize data in a clear and accessible format.
  • Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills to ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for interacting with educators, course providers, and district staff.
  • Strong customer service orientation to address inquiries and provide assistance to educators navigating professional learning opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain an up-to-date online catalog of approved professional learning opportunities for educator licensure renewal.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and registration process for PDP-bearing professional learning opportunities, ensuring they are accessible to all licenced educators.
  • Monitor and track educators’ course completion, ensuring accurate documentation of PDP credits.
  • Work closely with the Professional Learning Program Specialist and Director of Professional Learning to ensure that courses and professional learning activities meet the established district- and state-level standards and requirements.
  • Provide ongoing clerical support, including managing databases, organizing course schedules, and tracking course outcomes.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for inquiries related to course registration, availability, and course completion documentation.
  • Assist in preparing reports and documentation related to PDP credits documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
