Specialist Provision Lead - Cognition and Learning
Roll: 638 (Main School) + 18 SEND Unit
Start date: September 2025
Salary: MPR/UPR plus SEN allowance
Contract type: Full time, permanent
We are delighted that the Department for Education and Suffolk have decided to invest in Special Educational Needs provision and because of this Sybil Andrews and Unity Schools Partnership are looking to appoint an inspirational person to set up and develop our new Key Stage 3 and 4 specialist provision for a maximum of 18 students with identified cognition and learning needs. It is anticipated that the environment will reflect that of a fully inclusive hub within the school and where possible integration into the main school will be facilitated.

The successful candidate will work closely with the wider SEND team, our experienced Assistant Headteacher for SEND and Inclusion and be part of the wider network of Unity Schools Partnership. The successful candidate will be:

  • Passionate about inclusion supporting vulnerable children to gain an inspirational education.
  • An outstanding practitioner with high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour who is committed to providing high quality provision.
  • Able to maintain and drive forward exceptional standards whilst meeting the needs of a very vulnerable group of students.
  • An excellent communicator who is able to work inclusively with students, staff, parents and external professionals.
