An exciting opportunity has come available to contribute to a creative, supportive, and innovative service in East Berkshire. We are looking for a full-time band 8a Specialist Psychological Therapist CBT to join the CAMHS Getting Help Teams and Mental Health Support Teams across East Berkshire.
The base will be Upton Hospital in Slough; however, the role is across the localities of Slough, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and Bracknell Forest.
Working as part of the leadership team you will be a Clinical Lead for CAMHS East Getting Help, ARRS and MHST area of practice/ care pathway/ workstream at the interface with education settings, partner agencies and specialist CAMHS.
You will be responsible for conducting specialist psychologically informed CBT assessments, case formulations and delivering evidence-based interventions to service users presenting with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
Utilising your specialist knowledge, experience and skills, you will govern, develop and oversee the clinical practice of low and high intensity psychological practitioners. You will direct, supervise and provide specialist teaching, training and in-service support to junior and trainee CBT therapists within your area of specialism.
Our service hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm which is the typical working pattern of the teams, but we can be agile in accommodating flexible working, where needed, the teams work within a hybrid model of face-to-face work and working from home.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clinical Skills : Provide a specialist psychologically informed therapy service within CAMHS East Berkshire Getting Help and MHST Service, utilising your expert knowledge, experience and skills in low and high intensity CBT .
Clinical Leadership : Provide clinical, and where relevant operational, leadership for CAMHS Getting Help and MHST Services, offering expert oversight, guidance and advice. This will include being responsible for co-ordinating care, ensuring good governance arrangements, and leading quality improvement in the specialist area of responsibility.
Supervision and Training : Provide consultation, clinical supervision, mentoring and training to CBT practitioners/ therapists and other professionals, contributing to their professional development and improving the quality of treatment provided.
O versee the specialist clinical and professional supervision within their areas of expertise, to psychological practitioners, professionals and other staff, as delegated by the senior service leads, ensuring that systems for effective clinical & professional supervision are adhered to.
Provide specialist clinical advice, consultation and guidance, based on the specialist evidence-based framework, to other professionals, carers, services and system partners, contributing directly to service users’ formulations, diagnoses and treatment plans.

Appropriate qualification and registration/ accreditation with governing body as detailed in the JD and experience of working with young people with mental health difficulties.
Passion for providing collaborative and evidence-based mental health care.
Enthusiasm for multi-professional and multi-agency working.
Ability to travel between multiple sites
