Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. This is a part-time role working 24 hours per week and is benefits eligible. Location: Outpatient Offices (must be flexible to work in multiple locations)  About the Role  We are seeking a Float Registration Specialist to support outpatient clinics by ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate registration processes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys helping teams where needed.  Onboarding includes Cerner training and shadowing with other registration float employees to learn multiple office workflows.   Key Responsibilities  * Facilitate patient flow from entry to destination in a timely, professional manner  * Obtain and verify financial and demographic information for accurate billing and clinical outcomes  * Schedule appointments and procedures  * Interview patients for medical information and explain charges and policies  * Validate and enter charges into appropriate systems; collect necessary payments  * Answer incoming calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately    Top Skills Needed for Success  * Customer Service  * Team Player  * Positive Attitude  * Compassion  * Healthcare experience    Culture  This role supports short-staffed clinics, requiring flexibility and adaptability.   Training & Success  * Initial training onsite with experienced team members  * Expected to work independently within 3 months    Qualifications  * High School Diploma/GED required  * Prefer relevant experience in a healthcare setting  * Ability to learn and retain medical coding (ICD-10, CPT) preferred  * Ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred  * Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
