Description

Safety Program Development: o Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures. o Ensure alignment with local, state, and safety regulations. Risk Assessment: o Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analyses. o Identify potential workplace hazards and implement effective control measures. Machinery safety system o Conduct risk assessments for machinery operation and identify potential hazards. o Promote awareness of safe machinery practices and provide ongoing education on safety procedures. o Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and standards related to machinery. MOC (Management of change ) o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential impacts on safety, health, environment, and operational aspects. o Conduct through risk assessments for proposed changes. o Ensure that proposed changes comply with relevant local, state regulations. o Propose and implement improvements to enhance the overall change management system Safety Inspections: o Conduct regular safety inspections to identify and correct potential hazards. o Collaborate with relevant departments to address safety concerns. Incident Investigation: o Lead investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses. o Compile and analyze data to identify root causes and preventive measures. Regulatory Compliance: o Stay informed about occupational health and safety regulations and standards. o Ensure that the organization complies with relevant laws and regulations. Emergency Response: Assist in developing and testing emergency response plans (ERP) and coordinating safety drills.

Responsibilities

The Specialist Safety Engineering will develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and conduct regular risk assessments to identify workplace hazards. They will also lead investigations into incidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
