Reporting to the Superintendent Scheduling, accountabilities for the position will include

  • Identifying opportunities for additional shut maintenance around operational constraints, impact assess non-aligned shuts, advise recommendations that have the best for business outcomes
  • Engaging with stakeholders across the entire RTIO Supply Chain – Mines, Rail, Port & within the control room through chairing meetings, coaching, supporting, and influencing to deliver the best outcomes for the system
  • Reconciling learning’s from past maintenance activities, challenging current assumptions and developing strategies to minimise impact or maximise opportunity across the supply chain
  • Looking ahead to optimise the supply chain, using data analysis to propose opportune maintenance activities whilst ensuring alignment to required mine, rail & port capacities
  • Supporting the Integrated Scheduling and Planning team in problem solving and continuous improvement activities, championing speciality projects or programs of cross-functional project
Responsibilities

Rio Tinto Iron Ore’s Scheduling team is looking to recruit a Specialist Scheduler to take a lead role in integrating mine and port maintenance requirements throughout the iron ore supply chain.

This permanent position will be based in Rio Tinto’s Operations Centre located near the Perth Airport working Monday to Friday with flexible working arrangements and will require ad hoc site travel.
