Natcast (short for The National Center for the Advancement of Semiconductor Technology) is a new, purpose-built, non-profit entity created to operate the National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC) consortium, established by the CHIPS Act of the U.S. government.
Working at Natcast represents an opportunity to help extend America’s leadership in semiconductor technology, significantly reduce the time and cost of moving from idea to commercialization, and build and sustain a semiconductor workforce development ecosystem.
These efforts to advance semiconductor technology and seed new industries built on the capabilities of a wide range of advanced chips hold the potential to benefit the country and the world for generations to come.
In this role you will contribute to the future of semiconductor workforce development by facilitating connections between industry leaders, educational institutions, and workforce organizations across the United States.
Every day you will engage with diverse stakeholders to build and maintain programs that strengthen America’s semiconductor talent pipeline through innovative workforce development initiatives.
To thrive in this role, you must be organized and outgoing; have a basic understanding of the semiconductor industry, genuine passion for workforce development, and excel at building relationships across multiple stakeholder groups.
Natcast stands at the forefront of America’s semiconductor renaissance as the operator of the National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC). Established through the CHIPS and Science Act, Natcast brings together industry, academia, and government partners to advance semiconductor innovation and develop the skilled workforce needed to maintain U.S. leadership in this critical technology sector.
The Workforce Support Specialist plays a pivotal role in Natcast’s mission by coordinating and implementing programs that connect semiconductor industry stakeholders with workforce development resources. You will leverage your previous experience as an HR, Recruiting, Workforce Development or Training professional within the semiconductor industry to build communities that foster collaboration between NSTC members such as industry peers and academic institutions. This position directly impacts America’s technological competitiveness by helping build the skilled workforce needed to support domestic semiconductor manufacturing and innovation.
