The Sheffield College is a further and higher education institution dedicated to providing academic, vocational, and professional qualifications to approximately 13,000 young people and adults annually. Bloom is our specialist post-16 provision for learners with learning difficulties and disabilities. But more than that, Bloom is a philosophy – rooted in the belief that every young person, with the right support, time and environment, can thrive. Our students are not defined by labels or limitations. They are individuals with talents, potential and a right to a meaningful, ambitious education.
We work with young people aged 16–25, creating fully bespoke, differentiated pathways that promote independence, communication, well-being, and preparation for adulthood. Working for our subsidiary company Sparks Teaching Services, we are looking for passionate, creative and resilient lecturers to join our Bloom team. You will be part of a vibrant, skilled group of educators and support staff delivering engaging, inclusive and personalised learning experiences.

Main duties may include but not limited to:

• Formal scheduled delivery of learning and teaching
• Preparation of teaching materials
• Assessment and moderation
• Curriculum and assessment design as appropriate
• Responsibility for administration relevant to the post.
• Student Support
• Independent Studies supervision
• Attendance at Meetings e.g. Programme Committees and Subject/Team Meetings
• Participation in Continuous Professional Development
• Participation in student monitoring and reporting, course review and evaluation process.
• Participation in quality assurance and controls procedure.
• College Commitment to Safeguarding and Equality and Diversity
