Job Role / Responsibilities: Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology you will be responsible to support our enterprise Network Infrastructure Operations. You should possess technical hands-on skills for maintaining Network Connectivity Services uptime for all AKU Campus, Domestic and International. The skills to support such complex topologies will be essential for this evolving role. You will also be required to work closely with multiple client/customers, vendors, partners, technical account managers to achieve the desired results. Specifically, you will be responsible to; ensuring independent completion of network operational calls and resolution of network connectivity issues for users at all AKU Campuses, Secondary Hospitals, remote clients, domestic and international connectivity deployment, management and monitoring of Network Components Architecture throughout AKU Campuses for enhancement of Network Infrastructure. Design and implementation of complex projects for data centres and campuses applying subject level expertise creation of high-level documentation assisting in troubleshooting and upgrade of networks improve capacity and develop working pattern and knowledge of functioning team and area. Eligibility Criteria / Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering must possess CCNA qualifications candidate with CCNP training will be preferred minimum 5 years relevant experience in the field of IT Network Infrastructure, preferably in large scale enterprise IP networks should have hands-on experience on Switches, Routers and Firewalls of different vendors should have expert knowledge and hands-on experience of networking protocols and technologies in LAN, WAN and security must possess knowledge in handling large scale enterprise level IP networks with know-how of current industry trends should have knowledge of latest technical trends in the field of data-center networking, Network Monitoring, Network and Internet security ability and experience of wireless networking will be preferred sound knowledge of various Microsoft and open source operating systems technical, managerial, analytical, interpersonal and organization skills required ability to communicate in an understandable, polite and friendly manner, both written and verbal ability to work well with others, as well as independently. strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a business environment ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and customers to gain their trust and respect ability to professionally deal with difficult people or situations ability to pick up technical concepts quickly and can learn new skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

The specialist will be responsible for ensuring the independent completion of network operational calls and resolving connectivity issues for users across all AKU Campuses, Secondary Hospitals, and remote clients. This includes the deployment, management, and monitoring of Network Component Architecture to enhance the Network Infrastructure.
