REQ13438 Specialist, Social Media (Open) POSITION SUMMARY: Social Media Specialist is responsible for creating an engaged community through the social media platforms of the brand, to increase brand awareness in local and global markets. Responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the company's Social Media strategy in order to improve Marketing efforts. The Specialist, will also monitor site metrics, respond to reader comments, and oversee creative design. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Co-create and implement social media strategy in order to boost visibility and customer and client Engagement Develop strategy, produce high-quality original content and visual Runs company social media advertising campaigns and analyzes data Develops and manages competitions and campaigns that promote the brand Coaches subordinates and employees on content creation best practices The Specialist will publish content, monitor site metrics, respond to reader comments, and oversee creative design Monitors the competition and implements research for new trends Responds to comments on social media Engages with local and global influencers for special activities Able to develops the right voice for each social media platform Work closely with other BUs (Hotel, F&B, Casino), to create editorial calendars, identify key stories and coordinate actions KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS: Develop social media strategy for each platform Have a successful reach and engaged community Evaluating creative materials are on strategy prior to BU submission Ensuring work is completed on schedule and on budget Keeping full control over multimedia content for social media QUALIFICATIONS: Requirements & Qualifications Experience At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role or as a Digital Media Specialist, is essential. Preferable with a Luxury brand or in Hospitality Proven ability to build a social media community Experience developing a social media strategy Experience working with and developing a marketing plan Knowledge and understanding of algorithms and SEO Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills. Demonstrable social analytics tools knowledge Understanding of multimedia principles Understand how to measure the success of campaigns Education Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related area e.g., Marketing, Communications, PR or International Studies Candidates ideally should hold a bachelor’s degree with concentration on Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Marketing PERSONAL COMPETENCIES: Solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms, particularly in relation to advertising/branding and customers Strong editing and writing skills suitable for each platform, from knowing how to write a successful tweet to using effective storytelling techniques Creative skills for contributing new and innovative ideas Strong verbal communication skills for articulating ideas to colleagues and clients Organizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize work across multiple projects The ability to work well under pressure Data analysis skills and statistical prowess to draw actionable insights Online community management and customer service skills to strike the balance between publicity and stimulating direct discussion with potential and actual customers An eye for detail and the ability to work accurately Excellent team work and networking skills Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited (“Melco”) is a developer, owner and operator of casino gaming and entertainment casino resort facilities in Asia.
