Role description
Role Mainframe Developer
Location Canada Markham Ontario
Experience 5 to 7 years
Working model Hybrid 3 days a week in the office premises
Technical Primary Skills
Maintain and enhance the legacy MIS to support regulatory reporting requirements
Collaborate with the regulatory reporting team to understand and implement reporting needs
Develop test and deploy COBOL programs to process insurance data feeds N0110 and N0130
Utilize Informatica for data integration and transformation tasks Monitor and troubleshoot batch processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity
Document system changes and provide technical support to endusers
Proficiency in COBOL and Informatica Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
Strong understanding of insurance data feeds specifically N0110 Premium Feed and N0130 Claims Feed
Experience with batch processing and job scheduling
Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
Secondary Skills
Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements in the insurance industry is a plus
Assist with the implementation of technology development processes working closely with the team to identify assess and manage technology development
needs across inscope business areas
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
