At Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre, every patient’s journey is unique and every therapist plays a vital role in helping them regain their independence. Now, we’re looking for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our expanding team and make a lasting impact on the lives of patients like James. If you’re passionate about supporting individuals with complex neurological conditions, helping them rebuild their communication skills, and being part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, we’d love to hear from you.

• Provide assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders
• Devise evidence-led therapy programmes for patients at a specialist level, with an emphasis on multidisciplinary working to achieve the best outcomes for our patients
• Maintain high standards of clinical care in line with national guidance for excellence
• Key Worker duties to ensure cohesive goal-setting and therapy and coordinating discharge
• Supervise junior staff including assistants and students
• Participate in internal training (induction, mandatory training, MDT in-service)
• Ensure all relevant codes of practice and regulations are upheld
• Participate in service delivery audit and quality improvement initiatives
• The post holder may be required to provide cover at our nearby Chislehurst site
• Keep people safe from harm and protect their human rights
