The Substance Misuse Service (SMS) provides clinical interventions for prisoners with ‘Substance Misuse’ health needs in HMP Aylesbury. The post holder will work as a member of the SMS team contribute to; deliver high quality, safe and effective Non-Medical Prescribing Services.
The post holder will be responsible for the delivery and monitoring of high standards of substance misuse nursing care to patients assessed and admitted to the ISMS. This will be done in accordance with their clinical needs applying evidence-based practice to achieve positive clinical outcomes. The post holder will adhere to relevant clinical protocols and policies. The post holder needs to be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of security and safety consistent with working within a custodial setting.
