Department : Technical Services Reports to : Manager - Video Role Introduction The Specialist – Video is a technical position within the Technical Services department, providing an opportunity to develop expertise in professional video systems and live event production. Working under the supervision of the Manager - Video and senior video specialists, this role supports the operation and maintenance of video equipment across Kai Tak Sports Park's world-class venues including LED screens, cameras, video processors, and broadcast integration systems. This position offers hands-on training and career development for individuals seeking to build a career in live event video production and venue technical operations. Key Responsibilities Assist in the setup and operation of video systems for events including LED screens, video walls, cameras, and display systems Support senior video specialists in managing video equipment and content playback during events Learn to operate video processors, switchers, media servers, and control systems under supervision Assist with cable running, signal patching, and equipment connectivity Conduct basic system checks and equipment testing before events Monitor video systems during events and report any issues to senior staff Assist with troubleshooting video-related problems under the guidance of senior team members Perform basic maintenance tasks including cleaning equipment, organizing cables, and updating inventories Help with the setup and breakdown of video equipment before and after events Maintain accurate documentation of equipment usage and basic maintenance logs Follow all safety regulations and best practices related to video equipment operation Develop technical skills through hands-on experience and training provided by senior team members Assist with equipment inventory management and storage organization Support broadcast teams and production crews with video equipment needs Participate in training programs to develop expertise in video systems and event production Requirements Diploma or certification in Video Production, Broadcast Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field (or currently pursuing) Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in video production, AV technical support, or related field Basic knowledge of video systems including displays, cameras, and signal distribution Willingness to learn LED display systems, video processors, and broadcast integration technologies Basic understanding of video signal formats (HDMI, SDI) and connections Interest in learning video networking and control protocols Basic computer skills and ability to learn technical software and control systems Strong work ethic and eagerness to develop technical skills Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Good communication and teamwork skills Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Physical ability to lift and move video equipment and work at heights Keen interest in the sports venue industry and developing a career in video production Positive attitude and willingness to take direction from senior team members Full-time Personal & Application Information We are an equal opportunity employer.
