Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree supply chain or Engineering (either completed or in progress)
  • 1-2 years experience in engineering, manufacturing and,or sourcing environments
  • Bilingual English & French
  • Must have unrestricted Canadian work authorization, without requiring sponsorship

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Join GE Vernova’s North American Sourcing team and play a valuable role in supporting supplier coordination, purchase order management, and project execution across hydroelectric initiatives. As a Procurement Specialist, you will help facilitate communication between project team members and suppliers, ensuring alignment and smooth execution throughout the procurement process.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Place new Purchase Orders, ensuring compliance to guidelines and US Government requirements, if applicable.
  • Lead Kick-Off meetings and related action plans.
  • Make sure supplier understand all technical requirements of the order
  • Follow-up on Purchase Orders, gather regular status and updates from suppliers, maintain communication tools to project teams.
  • Escalate blocking points (Supplier Deviations, etc.) with project and engineering
  • Update Purchase Orders with technical document updates or Change Orders.
  • Anticipate possible delays in delivery by understanding fabrication process, complexity, possible roadblocks.
  • Support supplier in the use of our various tools: access, use, etc.
  • Maintain supplier relationship even in challenging situations.
  • You must agree to submit to a pre-employment screening, including, but not limited to, a reference and background check;
  • Must have unrestricted Canadian work authorization, without requiring sponsorship.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both French and English.
  • Good computer skills, multitasking and data accuracy
  • Navigate a complex, matrix organization, internally and externally.
