• Support the Globalization Program Manager, AI in defining the vision, strategy and long-term objectives for AI/ML programs
• Support with planning, ranking and prioritization of tasks every quarter to help draft relevant AI/ML roadmaps
• Act as a subject-matter expert (SME) during discussions with Product/Design/ML teams around the development of AI features during the product development lifecycle (PLC)
• Assist in the coordination and execution of all AI/ML efforts and experiments and measure success/impact through robust metrics
• Help with the definition and creation of new metrics to efficiently track and report on business impact to leadership
• Assist in engineering prompts aimed at workflow automation
• Prompting LLMs for AI-related tasks and fine-tune until desired outcomes is achieved
• Assist in preparing and coordinating Learning & Development forums, such as AI workshops for the Globalization team and external teams
• Assist in managing, cleaning and maintaining Expedia’s Machine Translation assets
• Compile term candidates in the format required by our MT provider on a monthly basis
• Liaise with MT champions to align on expectations and next steps of MT initiatives:
• Pull samples (source and/or target) from our TMS for MT evaluations or LQA cycles, based on criteria defined by the Globalization Program Manager, AI
• Pull term bases from our TMS
• Assist the MT champions to prepare term candidates when onboarding a new team to our conversational experiences program
• Assist in the preparation of MT evaluation forms and in writing project handoffs about MT-related tasks for linguists and vendors
• Assist in compiling data from MT evaluation forms for analysis and build compelling presentations for decision-making
• Use Python to create macros and scripts that can help further automate our MT evaluation forms and other processes
• Collect EDC (Edit distance calculation) reports from our TMS and/or Expedia Group’s MT dashboard and calculate edit distance using Python scripts (training to be provided)
