JOB DESCRIPTION

The Speciality Sales Manager, US Sales will be a critical role in supporting our top Key Accounts, Managing and leading our independent sales rep groups as well as helping to identify other growth opportunities in new and existing customers. The candidate will be directly responsible to help us grow our Speciality & Key account channel. The ideal candidate will lead the account development and strategy in conjunction with the VP of Sales for assigned customers/prospects. Hape is looking for an entrepreneurial growth minded individual that is excited to grow a speciality brand to the next level.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Sales-driven with a focus on relationship-building with existing customer base Toy and Gift industry experience preferred as well as CPG retail selling experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, Domestic or Overseas Travelling as needed. Excellent written and verbal communication. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Flexibility to attend Global Marketing Meetings with different time zone.
  • Ability to prioritize important tasks, manage time effectively, and appropriately multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role in the CPG; Toy industry experience preferred Proficiency in MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to create and maintain business presentations, Excel worksheets and POS reports
  • Willing to join a fast-paced and growing company, strong analytical skills required. Excels at working cross functionally both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • High level expectations time management 50%- time spent managing and working with Sales Representatives and principals.30% New Business Development- new channels, key account growth, and new distribution options, 10%- Administrative,10%- Strategy Executing and Planning, and negotiating, Growth, Profit, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with sales management and Top 50 Key Accounts to maximize sales.
  • Grow annual sales for current customer base.
  • Hunter mentality that will strategically develop new business channels and customers. Negotiate and close programs with Key accounts.
  • Meet and exceed annual sales and margin targets through development and execution of strategic sales plan.
  • Identify and report trends requiring a shift of tactics and CO/OP budgets to achieve performance targets.
  • Develop and optimize relationships to drive maximum revenue and gross margin performance.
  • Manage all aspects of the Specialty Channel Sales, Rep Management, showrooms, trade shows, product/ brand strategy, Sales Budget, planning and Forecasting, Monthly Reporting and KPI’s
  • Understand the customer timelines and proactively provide customers with all information and materials required to make decisions and manage business effectively.
  • Present sales presentations to customers, including product demonstrations, POS analysis and outline brand marketing and category strategies
  • Accurate forecasting and working closely with the planning team to ensure stock is delivered to accounts as required.
  • Work as a team to provide feedback about new product development, existing item sell through and future conversations on discontinuations.
  • Keep up to date with trends and activities in the sector, being aware of competitor activities to remain ahead of the curve.
