QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field

  • Experience as a CAD Engineer / Aircraft Design Engineer in the aerospace or UAV sector

  • Expert-level proficiency in CATIA V5 (Part Design, Assembly Design, Generative Shape Design, etc.)

  • Strong working knowledge of PLM systems such as 3DEXPERIENCE

  • Excellent English skills, both written and spoken; German is a plus

  • Proven experience working in international, cross-functional teams

  • Structured, independent, and team-oriented working style
    Passion for new technologies and a desire to work in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment

Responsibilities
  • Design and 3D model mounts, enclosures, and shielding for:
  • Electric motors, inverters, battery packs
  • Combustion engines (fuel tanks, exhaust isolation)
  • Rocket propulsion systems (nozzle integration, blast shielding)
  • Integrate fuel lines, manifolds, and thermal protection elements into the 3D CAD model
  • Design and route cooling systems: airflow ducts, heat sinks, liquid cooling (if used)
  • Coordinate with airframe and electrical teams for structural and system interfaces
  • Develop installation/removal strategies (accessibility, service loops) in assembly design
  • Ensure proper component mounting using bushings, vibration isolators, and brackets
  • Document design in 3DEXPERIENCE: configurations, design variants, weight estimates
