POSITION SUMMARY:
The Specialized Resource Worker supports survivors aged 13+ along with PearlSpace’s Sexual Assault Support team. Grounded in trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally safe practice, this role empowers survivors to make informed choices and access individualized care. Key responsibilities include crisis response, survivor advocacy, and public education across the Sea to Sky region. With deep respect for Indigenous knowledge systems and healing practices, the worker will respond to disclosures and callouts to offer survivor-led support and to build relationships that reflect the diversity and strengths of the communities we serve.
Youth Consent Facilitator will design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate, and inclusive workshops for high school students (grades 10–12) focused on sexual assault awareness, consent, healthy relationships, and related topics. Rooted in trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally grounded frameworks, this role fosters understanding, safety, and empowerment for youth throughout the Sea to Sky Corridor, including Indigenous and rural communities. The facilitator will build strong relationships with schools, community organizations, and Indigenous partners, ensuring that content is inclusive, relevant, and aligned with both the BC curriculum and community values.
